Day 2: Fatehpur Sikri and Return to Delhi 

6:30 AM – Sunrise at the Taj Mahal 

• Wake up early for a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal. It opens at sunrise, and the morning light creates magical views of the monument. 

• This early visit will allow you to enjoy the Taj Mahal in a more peaceful and quieter environment, and it’s perfect for photography. 

• Spend 1.5 hours here to make the most of the experience. 

8:00 AM – Breakfast at the Hotel 

• Return to your hotel for breakfast, or you could enjoy breakfast at a café with a view of the Taj Mahal. 

9:00 AM – Visit Itmad-ud-Daula (Optional) 

• If you have time, visit Itmad-ud-Daula, also known as the “Baby Taj.” This is a smaller, yet equally stunning mausoleum with intricate marble work. 

• Spend 30-45 minutes here. 

10:00 AM – Check-out from the Hotel 

• Check out from your hotel and start your journey toward Fatehpur Sikri, located around 1-1.5 hours from Agra (about 40 kilometers). 

11:30 AM – Visit Fatehpur Sikri 

• Fatehpur Sikri is an ancient Mughal city and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was once the capital of the Mughal Empire under Emperor Akbar. 

• Visit key attractions like the Buland Darwaza, Diwan-i-Khas, Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal, and Tomb of Salim Chishti. 

• Plan to spend around 1.5 – 2 hours exploring the site. 

1:30 PM – Lunch 

• You can either have lunch in Fatehpur Sikri or continue your journey back to Delhi and stop for lunch along the way. 

2:30 PM – Head Back to Delhi 

• After your visit to Fatehpur Sikri, begin your drive back to Delhi. The journey will take around 3.5 – 4 hours. 

• Depending on traffic, you may arrive in Delhi by 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM.
